John, a Friend of Jesus Bible Craft

Bible Story: John, a Friend of Jesus

Bible Text: Jesus said, Do for others as I have done for you (John 13:15).

Suggested Learning Outcome: This frame craft will help children remember the importance of being a good friend and showing love to our friends.

Supplies List:

• Craft sticks
• Hot glue (teacher only)
• Sequins, stickers or pompoms
• Card stock

Teacher Preparation: Pre-cut pieces of card stock approximately 4 ½ inches square.

Instructions:

Step 1. Give each child 4 craft sticks and the piece of card stock. Guide them in hot gluing craft sticks to the two sides of the card stock and then hot gluing a craft stick to the bottom (see image).

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2. The craft stick on top should be glued onto the tops of the two side craft sticks (see image). This will create a slot so that a photo can be slid into the frame.

 

 

 

 

 

Step 3. Encourage children to decorate the frame as they like with stickers, pompoms or sequins (see image). Children can slide in a photo to give as a gift to a friend.
