Lesson Description

Because of their spiritual disobedience, Israel had been in exile in Babylon for approximately 70 years. After that time, many of the people returned to Jerusalem and their homeland in the hope of rebuilding the city and their nation. But progress was slow and the people needed leadership. God used the prophet Nehemiah to help the people build the wall around Jerusalem. Nehemiah’s leadership enabled progress on the wall to move forward against powerful forces that didn’t want Jerusalem reestablished. But Yahweh is a great God and uses people like us to accomplish His purposes. This Nehemiah and the Wall Bible lesson for older preschoolers is about Nehemiah’s work on the Jerusalem wall and teaches that when I trust God He will show the right thing to do.
