Lesson Description

Paul, who initially was known as Saul, was a hardened enemy of Christianity. He was on his way to Damascus to arrest believers and bring them to Jerusalem. On the way, however, Paul saw a light that blinded him and brought him to his knees. He also heard a voice asking him, “Why are you persecuting Me?” (v. 4). It was Jesus! Jesus told Paul to go on into Damascus where he would receive further instructions. Paul did as he was told, and there a Christian disciple named Ananias came to him and helped him understand better who Jesus really was. Thus Paul was saved by Jesus, the One he had been fighting for so long. In the coming years, Paul would travel far and wide to tell people the good news about Jesus. Learning about Paul, we can see how God uses people to accomplish His will in the ongoing work of furthering His kingdom. This Paul Learned About Jesus Bible lesson for older preschoolers is about Paul’s “Road to Damascus” experience and teaches that God wants me to learn about Jesus.
