Lesson Description

Israel had operated as a loose confederation of tribes since conquering the promised land. Now they were asking for a king so they could be like the other nations. Their request displeased both Samuel and the Lord, but God directed Samuel to give them a king as they requested. Samuel didn’t like the whole idea, but he was obedient and followed God’s leadership.
