Lesson Description

One would expect a king to enter a city on a white horse to signify conquest and victory. However, Jesus chose a donkey and its colt. You see, His Messiahship was spiritual, not political. As Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the crowds responded as if He were a king. They didn’t understand the kind of King Jesus was, but they knew He was special. They laid their coats and palm branches on the path; these were signs showing their honor and gratitude. Sadly, it seems that in a short span of time many of these same voices would turn against Him. The People Honored Jesus Bible lesson for older preschoolers is about Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem and teaches that Jesus loves me. God wants me to honor Jesus.
