This is the Judges and Ruth unit.

Judges and Ruth (Four Lessons)

After Joshua died, God used judges to lead Israel. Historically, the Book of Judges provides a bridge between Israel’s conquest of the promised land and the Israelite monarchy, in which Saul initially served as king. In Judges, we see that God used ordinary, flawed people to lead His people, yet He used them in remarkable ways, despite their weaknesses.

This Judges and Ruth unit highlights the leadership provided by three of Israel’s judges—Deborah, Gideon, and Samson. It also features a true story involving a grieving woman, Naomi, and her faithful daughter-in-law, Ruth. In their story, we see not only faithfulness and love, but God’s sovereignty in action.
