John Told About the Future (Four Lessons)
The Apostle John and other New Testament writers indicated in the Bible that God is bringing His unfolding story to a climax. His Son, Jesus Christ, who came 2,000 years ago as a humble servant and died for humanity’s sins, will return to earth and establish His eternal kingdom. Although the world as we know it will pass away, those who’ve placed their faith in Christ for salvation will live in his Kingdom forever with Him.
This unit presents these truths to preschoolers in ways that instill excitement and hope in them. Preschoolers are encouraged to love and trust Jesus. After all, He takes care of all of His followers. Their futures are in His capable and reliable hands. Lessons in this unit are listed below. Unit Bible Lessons
John, A Friend of Jesus
This Bible study introduces preschoolers to the apostle John. It gives a brief overview of John’s life, ministry, and teachings; and it emphasizes that this apostle was inspired by God to write five of the books in our New Testament.
John Wrote About Love
In this Bible lesson, preschoolers will learn about the teachings of the apostle John regarding Jesus’ humanity and deity. They’ll learn some of the practical implications of being Jesus’ followers. They’ll also learn some of the things John meant when He wrote the profound statement, “God is love.”
John Wrote About Heaven
Revelation, the last book of the Bible, is the subject of this Bible lesson for preschoolers. Preschoolers will learn about how John came to write it and about the hope that it instills in everyone who loves Jesus.
God’s Unfolding Story – (Three)
This last lesson in this series of New Testament studies for preschoolers gives a final review of God’s unfolding story.
