David and Jonathan Bible Craft
This simple friendship bracelet craft will support the story of the friendship between David and Jonathan in the Old Testament. The bracelet craft will give students a chance to create and give a gift to their special friends while reinforcing the qualities of a good friend.
Bible Text: 1 Samuel 18; 1-4; 19:1-3; 20:14-17; 41

Supplies List:
- Beads
- Pipe cleaners
Instructions:
Step 1. Give each child a pipe cleaner and several beads. Allow the kids to string the beads on the pipe cleaner to create a personally customized friendship bracelet (see image). Help each learner to decide on one special friend to whom they can give their friendship bracelets. As the children are stringing beads, ask them to think of some traits of a good friend.
Step 2. Explain that when the child gives the completed bracelet (see image) to a friend, they should tell the friend which trait(s) the friend has.
