Bible Lesson: The story of Ruth and Naomi is a great love story, but it also demonstrates God’s great sovereignty in our lives. Ruth and Naomi (Ruth’s mother-in-law) were essentially destitute after their husbands died. Ruth gleaned from the field of Boaz simply to survive. This led to an encounter between Ruth and Boaz and they ultimately marry. They had a son who became the Grandfather of King David and ancestor to Jesus himself. This printable coloring page shows Ruth in Boaz’s field where they met. Use the coloring page to teach children that God is in control of our futures, even when things are not going as we would like.
