Hidden Pictures for God Guided Abraham

The story of Abraham and Sarah traveling to a new land is a wonderful story of faith. In  Genesis 12, God called Abraham (Abram) and told him to move from his homeland (Haran) to a new land (Canaan). This place would be far from his family and friends, but God promised He would bless Abraham and use him to bless others. God promised to make of him a great nation. Abraham trusted God, journeyed to Canaan (Palestine), and God blessed him there. Abraham followed God even though he did not know exactly where he was going or what all would be involved. It was God’s intention to use Abraham and his descendants to bless all the nations of the world. And God did, indeed, use the Hebrew people to accomplish His purposes. Abraham and Sarah showed great faith by following God to this new land. This Hidden Pictures for God Guided Abraham activity highlights Abraham’s moving out in faith, as well as the guidance that God provided. The activity can be used in a Sunday School, classroom or homeschool setting.
