Joseph Helped the King Bible Craft

God placed Joseph in just the right place to accomplish His purposes at the right time. This tissue roller craft highlights how Joseph helped the King when there was little food in the land.

Bible Story: Joseph Helped the King

Bible Text: Genesis 41

Supplies List:

• Tissue paper roller (1 per student)
• Yellow and green tissue paper
• Twine or yarn
• Glue

Teacher Preparation: Pre-cut rectangles of green tissue paper to approximately 12inches long by 6 inches wide. Pre-cut small squares of yellow tissue paper.

Instructions:

Step 1. Give children a tissue paper roller and two sheets of pre-cut green tissue paper. Guide students in rolling the tissue paper around the roller, twisting the ends and securing with twine or yarn. Give students several small squares of yellow tissue paper and instruct them to crumple the tissue paper into small balls.

Step 2. Help children gently open the seam where the two sides of tissue paper meet, to reveal the tissue paper roller underneath.

Step 3. Instruct kids to carefully glue the crumpled pieces of yellow tissue paper onto the revealed portion of the tissue paper roller to create kernels of corn peeking through the green corn husks.
