Nicodemus Visited Jesus Bible Craft

Jesus talked to Nicodemus about the “new birth.” This cute heart craft will remind children that when we are “born again” we are given a new heart and a new life.

Bible Story: Nicodemus Visited Jesus

Bible Text: John 3:1-16

Supplies List:

• Red tissue paper
• Red or pink construction paper
• Markers
• Craft eyes

Teacher Preparation: Prepare heart templates for kids to cut out during class, one large and two small hearts. If you have very young children, you may want to pre-cut the hearts ahead of time. Pre-cut strips of red tissue paper.

Instructions:

Step 1. Give each child a heart template to cut out. When hearts are ready, give each child two strips of red tissue paper and instruct them to accordion fold the strips into small squares. When the strips are unfolded, guide kids in gluing the strips to the sides of the large heart. Instruct children to glue the small hearts to the ends of the strips.

Step 2. Have children glue craft eyes onto their heart and draw a happy face to illustrate a new and happy heart, with open arms full of love.
