Bible Story: Giving Thanks for Our Food

Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 10:31

Suggested Learning Outcome: The Thanksgiving holiday definitely includes food, one of our greatest blessings from God. This fun craft will help remind children that we should give thanks for our food everyday, not just at Thanksgiving time.

Supplies List:

• Paper plates
• Cotton balls
• Construction paper
• Scissors

Instructions:

Step 1. Give children a paper plate and cotton balls. Instruct them to use the cotton balls to create mashed potatoes on the plate and top them with a square of yellow paper for butter (see image).

 

 

 

 

Step 2. Using construction paper, guide kids in drawing and cutting out other food items to glue to their Thanksgiving Feast plate. Around the edges of the plate you can write the words, “Thank You, God, For Food.” (see image).
