People Honored Jesus Story Illustration

When Jesus entered into Jerusalem on the Sunday prior to His crucifixion, He was greeted by the people, including children, honoring Him with songs and palm branches. We read this story in Matthew 21 and we call this event Jesus’ Triumphal Entry and we still celebrate the event as Palm Sunday. It was a day that pointed to Jesus’ identity as the Messiah, the Son of God, and the King of God’s kingdom. This Palm Sunday story illustration will help children learn about this important event and understand that Jesus is worthy of our worship and devotion. This story illustration can be used in a Sunday School, classroom or homeschool setting.
