Samuel Followed God Bible Craft
God asked Samuel to anoint a king over Israel. Samuel wasn’t excited about doing this, but Samuel chose to obey and follow God anyway. Sometimes God does that in our own lives as well and asks us to do something we just don’t want to do. This fun paint craft will help remind children to follow God just as Samuel did.
Note: This free craft is also available as a downloadable PDF.
Bible Story: Samuel Followed God
Bible Text: 1 Sam. 8-10
Supplies List:
- Construction paper
- Paint
- Crayons
- Baby wipes for cleanup
Instructions:
Step 1. Give children a piece of construction paper, and instruct them to write or copy the words, “Follow God Always” at the top.
Step 2. Instruct the children to make their hands into fists, and allow them to, or assist them with, painting the sides of both of their hand with paint.
Step 3. Now guide the kids in carefully pressing the painted side of their hand onto the bottom of the paper to make a foot print. Children should make four of these prints in pairs as they will be sets of footprints. Next, instruct the students to create a painted thumbprint “large toe” on each foot, and then dip another fingertip in paint and create four more toes.
