Lesson: The world believes that service is to be avoided. It’s not for people of importance. But the Bible teaches just the opposite. In Galatians 5:13, Paul challenged his readers to “serve one another through love.” We are never more like Jesus than when we humble ourselves to serve other people. Children need to see this truth demonstrated in our lives and need to be reminded that they can find many ways to serve others in a typical day. These bookmarks underscore this important truth and can be placed in the child’s Bible as a regular reminder.
