Lesson Description

David became Israel’s greatest king. But he wasn’t born a king. David spent his early years as a shepherd boy. It was in the fields that David developed his character and his faith in the Lord. It was here that David learned this lesson’s important Bible truth: God will help me. This conviction would sustain David through out his life and would leave a legacy of faith so that even Jesus was referred to as the “Son of David.” This David Was a Shepherd Boy Bible lesson for older preschoolers looks at David’s young life as a shepherd and will remind children that God will help them.
