Lesson Description
As the floodwaters rose, they destroyed life on the earth—but they also lifted the ark, keeping it above the devastation and death. Eventually the rain stopped, and gradually the floodwaters receded. The ark came to rest on “the mountains of Ararat” (Gen. 8:4), and soon the people and animals inside were able to walk out onto dry ground. Noah worshiped God, and God promised Noah that never again would He destroy the earth with a flood.
