Lesson Description
When it came time for the Israelites to cross the Jordan River, God held back its waters so the people could cross on dry land. Under God’s direction, Joshua commanded that 12 stones be removed from the riverbed and placed in the camp where the Israelites were spending the night. These stones would serve to remind God’s people of the miracles the Lord had performed on their behalf as they moved to take the land God had promised to give them.
