Lesson Description

The Tower of Babel was never completed. Its builders planned to make it a monument to all they could accomplish. God knew that were they to succeed, they would become the foolish victims of their own pride and arrogance. He therefore intervened by confusing the languages of the people working on the tower. Since they couldn’t complete construction, they couldn’t use the tower to make a name for themselves.

The biblical account of the Tower of Babel shows not only God’s righteousness, but also His mercy. God would continue to call people to acknowledge and honor Him, but, as had been the case up until this point, relatively few would listen. Let us make sure we are listening to all God wants to say to us! This Tower of Babel Bible lesson for older preschoolers teaches that God wants me to please Him in all I do.
