Word Tiles for Jesus and Nicodemus
In John chapter 3, we learn about a man named Nicodemus, an important religious leader, who came to Jesus at night. Nicodemus was a Pharisee and had questions about the Kingdom of God. Jesus explained to Nicodemus that a person must be “born again” in order to enter the Kingdom of God. He went on to explain that He (Jesus) was sent from God to be “lifted up” (John 3:14). This was a reference to the coming cross on which Jesus would die. According to John 3:16, the sacrifice that Jesus would become on the cross was an act of God’s love. This Word Tiles for Jesus and Nicodemus activity will help kids understand more about this important encounter and Jesus’ wonderful message of love. This conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus gives us what may be the most familiar verse in all of the Bible…
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 King James Version
