Bible Maps

Using maps in teaching kids the Bible is helpful in many ways. Not only does a map help children understand the geography and physical location of certain Bible events, but it reinforces the reality of the history of these events. Kids need to grasp that the things that happened in the Bible really did happen. They are part of history. When a child can see WHERE Egypt is and WHERE the Red Sea is located (for example), then the story of the Exodus and Mt. Sinai becomes more real. They better understand that Moses and the people of Israel were real people living in real time in a real place that is still there. We are working on a series of Bible maps to help children learn about the lands of the Bible. You can find these maps listed below. Most of these maps are (or will be) coloring maps, but they can be used simply as maps if preferred. We would suggest you acquire a simple globe of the world as well to help kids place the map in its larger, global context. You can find a long list of globes on Amazon. They also offer inflatable globes that are great for the classroom and the six-inch globe is an inexpensive option for the home. (Above links are affiliate links.)
