Where Is God’s Unfolding Story for Older Preschoolers Going?

Shortly before his death, Moses spoke to the people of God and exhorted them…“Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves, so that you don’t forget the things your eyes have seen and so that they don’t slip from your mind as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren” (Deut. 4:9, HCSB).

God still is calling His church to teach our children and grandchildren “the things your eyes have seen.” This is the story of what God has done in the Bible and in our lives. The goal of God’s Unfolding Story for Older Preschoolers is to help older preschoolers discover the love of God and His people in the context of the broader biblical story so they develop a strong awareness of the story, as well as the ability to recite the six elements of God’s Unfolding Story. Can you imagine the difference it can make in the life of a child to learn at a young age that they are as much a part of God’s story as Abraham, Moses, David or Paul?
