Lesson Description

Jesus had a problem with the way the religious leaders prayed in public. He was not against public prayer but disagreed with the attitude of those who prayed elaborate prayers so they could impress people. The one praying should seek to honor and glorify God, not seek to bring attention to self.  Jesus gave His disciples a Model Prayer, a prayer that reflects the kinds of things people need to be concerned about as they approach God. Let’s let it instruct us in our praying, and let’s help preschoolers learn from this prayer all they can about approaching God and bringing one’s needs to Him.
