  • God loves all people, regardless of their religious or racial background.
  • God expects us to demonstrate love to all people, now matter how different from us they may be.
  • The Jews of Jesus’ day believed that only other Jews could be “neighbors.” Further, they didn’t like the Samaritans. This Samaritan was a better neighbor to the poor man than the Jews who ignored him.  (This concept may be more appropriate for older kids.)

The Landing

Help the children understand that while it’s easy to love and care for people like us, God wants us to show love to all people, regardless of how different they may be.
