Jesus knew people, and he knew people love stories. Jesus took familiar events, people, and traditions from the world in which his audience lived and turned them into fascinating stories that carried (and still carry) important lessons. Each of the following lessons covers a single parable of Jesus. As you teach these parables to your kids, keep in mind that a parable typically is intended to convey a single important lesson. We will seek to help you convey that message to the children under your care.

Bible Lessons and Activities on Jesus’ Parables

• The Parable of the Lost Sheep – This beautiful parable will remind kids that we have a loving heavenly Father who has pursued us and done all He could to save us. Related activities can be found here.

Children who attend through the entire two-year suggested study plan will follow God’s unfolding story from creation to Revelation primarily in a chronological approach. As much as reasonable and practical, stories are studied in their historical sequence with appropriate consideration given to Christmas and Easter each year.
